These are the things we have thought about when writing our site;

  • Consistent layout - we have kept the layout the same on all pages.
  • Navigation: the main headings (Forum, Self Advocacy, Projects, Training and About Us) can be accessed directly from all pages.
  • We have used relative text sizes so that text can easily be altered by the user.
  • We have used CSS for all styling and for some of the layout.
  • We have used "alternative text" for all images.
  • Where we have used tables, we have considered the order in which text-to-speech software will scan each cell.
  • We tested the site using many different browsers, including text-only browsers.
  • We have not used colour coding as the only way to access information
  • We will be adding more pictures as we go along, to make the website even easier.
