Keeping Safe &
Citizenship
 Lot of people with Learning Disabilities have told us that they do not feel safe when they go out. This is because many people experience harrassment and crime. Dorset People First is running a citizenship project to look at ways we can make people be and feel safer when they are out. Some of the things we are doing are;

Looking at what is being done elsewhere in the country

Helping people with learning disablities to know their rights and to report crime.

Working with the police to let them know what the problems are and how it makes people feel.
