Just Say runs Self-Advocacy groups where young people aged 13 - 25 years can meet and speak up about things that are important to them.
Connexions provides funding for the project to run groups in Weymouth, Poole, Ferndown, Verwood and Wimborne.
There are 7 groups running at the moment. They are held in Beaucroft, Montacute, Winchelsea, Victoria and Wyvern schools and at the Barnabas Project Centre in Poole.
We are looking for more funding so that the Just Say Project can support more groups in all areas of Dorset, including Bournemouth.
In the Speaking Up groups people can talk about anything that is important to them. This may include talking about;
- relationships
- housing
- friends
- health
- transport
- social life
- and anything else that is important to them

We are pleased to announce that Independence Day 3 will be held at Kingston Maurward on 23 November 2007, thanks to funding from the Local Network Fund. Young people are helping to plan and organise the day for the views and questions of young disabled people to be put to a panel of decision makers from across Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole.
