People with learning disabilities are often given information on paper about a lot of different things; bills, letters, timetables, contracts, tenancy agreements...etc. The list goes on. If we are to really help people to be independent and make choices, this information must be in a format that people can understand.
 This day of "Easy Information" training will help you to understand what it takes to make information "easy"! It is suitable for anyone who writes information which will be read by people with learning disabilities, visual impairments, or literacy difficulties. No previous experience is needed.
 Things we cover on the day;
- Using Plain English
- Pictures and Symbols; what's available?
- Fonts and Layout
- Using photographs
- Consulting people with learning disabilities about the information you make.
